BIGBANG WORLD INC is a FINTECH COMPANY in Sierra Leone working on an innovative platform to accept payments everywhere bringing the rural closer to the urban lifestyle. In 2019 BBW won the BANK OF SIERRA LEONE / UNCDF FINTECH CHALLENGE in partnership with Cellulant Nigeria to deliver a platform to increase access to finance to the unbanked especially famers. The services include:

BIGBANG WORLD INC is reaching the last mile with valuable information on weather, farming techniques, FINTECH services using SMS and health services.
BBW provides National Emergency medical services with an SMSGATEWAY

BBW was contracted to deliver a website for the National Secretariat for the Reduction of Teenage pregnancy funded by Goal Ireland.

 

 

 

DIGITAL LEARNING HUBS
ESTABLISHMENT & MANAGEMENT OF DIGITAL LEARNING HUBS in 4 universities in Sierra Leone; University of Sierra Leone (IPAM), Ernest Bai Koroma University (Makeni), Milton Margai Technical University (Goderich) and Eastern Technical University (Kenema). The project is Through the Directorate of Science, innovation and technology Under the Office of the President funded by UNICEF.

The overall objectives of the project are to:
● Scale uptake in digital learning solutions/opportunities by increasing remote and in-person access to digital learning platforms, and devices to improve learning opportunities and outcomes of citizens.
● Facilitate rollout of the offline and online models of the DSTI-UNICEF Learning Passport.
● Strengthen and/or build digital competency/skills of the public sector and young adults to build the capacity of both current and potential public sector work-force.
● Establish partnerships with higher learning institutions to improve learning opportunities for students by providing access to diverse learning content.
● Support data analysis on learning opportunities and identify knowledge and skills gaps in the public sector workforce.
● Transfer knowledge by working with young people and enhancing self-directed teaching/learning.
● Propose a commercially sustainable business model to monetize connectivity and access to the participating DLHs for the sole purpose of sustaining operations of the Hub services.
